Playing twice this sunday

I'm playing flute twice this Sunday (tomorrow): with the bells for the 8:40 service, then again supporting Pr Liz on her 5PM "Shalom" service.

Liz is going to lead "a liturgy of light". I think it will be very nice.

When it rains, it pours!

Now i'm also going to preach at Heritage Presbyterian Church, in Carol Stream, on March 30.


This is a nice small church, within walking distance from my home. The last time i was there was when my new Pastor, Liz Walker, preached her candidate sermon there. I have preached there before, years ago. I'm looking forward to being back, and beginning to be a little anxious about coming up with 3 sermons for 3 weeks. That's what the pros do all the time, but i've never been a very frequent preacher. (If anyone from Heritage is reading this, don't worry, i'm sure it will be all right.)

Chesterton

I will be preaching at the St John's United Church, in Chesterton IN, on the first 2 Sundays of April. What a huge privilege this is! I love that church. They're real special, loving and open-hearted people there.

Next Taize service

The next Taizé service at First Presbyterian, Wheaton IL, will be February 22 - 7:30 PM. All are invited.
